Welcome Note

Dear Members, friends and supporters of SDNU,

mengga1 Welcome to SDNU website. I hope the website would keep you inform of the current status of SDNU. We have been trying to reach our members , friends and supporters in a conventional communication method of which we find it is difficult and less transparent.

As a result, the Supreme Executive Committee has decided to develop SDNU website. With this website we hope to communicate information with regards to matter related to SDNU for viewing and assimilation of all interested parties. We hope to receive positive comments and interaction with the persons who has interest to see SDNU successful.

aku bisi minat ka masuk tauka join SDNU. Tapi aku enda nemu cara ia bakani. Tambah ka agik aku jarang bisi di menua kitai Sarawak. Laban aku kerja di menua tasik.Nyadi aku arap ka bala pemesai tauka sapa ia ka megai SDNU tauka bala sekertari persatuan tok ulih mantu aku serta madah ka jalai ia ngagai aku…nyadi emel aku: charlewilliam@yahoo.com.my.

Aku tebuka ati deka masuk nyadi kaban SDNU laban deka nemu pemansang raban bansa kitai dayak di menua sarawak ke diatu.arap ke nuan olih madah ke aku jalai ka masuk nyadi kaban SDNU tu.Kebuah pia maioh amai penanggul ke nuntung kitai bansa patut di pejurai enggau silik agi.Arap ke bansa kitai tau mujur baik di menua pesisir tauka di pasar.Penemu bala maioh nya meh ngasoh kitai bansa tauka maju segigi agi ngambi ke nyadi bansa ke tau di peda tang ukai di jeling ari mua penyenguk aja.terima kasih

I would be most grateful if SDNU can be more transparent and published it’s members list in this portal for every one to see. People can check as to who are members and who are not. Another thing which I would like to draw to the attention of SDNU is regarding the publicity which I think is lacking with regards to activities organised by SDNU. I thnk not many people know about the last meeting and also the trip to Pontianak last year. Please be more transparent and open to all Dayaks if you want all Dayaks to move forward in tandem with other races.

Dear Mengga,

First of all I do not belong to any tribe in Sarawak. I am a Kadazan from Sabah and I do not know whether I am in the right venue to suggest the developement of ‘Iban Rhyming Dictionary’. In fact I have not seen an ‘Iban Dictionary’ yet but my experience in developing the first ever ‘Kadazan Dusun Rhyming Dictionary’ gives me confidence that I can develope one for the Iban community.

I hope you understand what I mean by rhyming. When we say that words are rhymed we mean the the words are having the same sound at least at the last syllable. Poets in olden days like to write poetry with words rhymed at the end. So Rhyming Dictionary is useful for poets and lyricist. If your association is not the right venue for me, I would be appreciative if you can refer me to the right authority.
