I am a Kadazan from Sabah and I do not know whether I am in the right venue to suggest the developement of 'Iban Rhyming Dictionary'. In fact I have not seen an 'Iban Dictionary' yet but my experience in developing the first ever 'Kadazan Dusun Rhyming Dictionary' gives me confidence that I can develope one for the Iban community. Just fill in your personal detail and return / send it to SDNU HQ. The SEC member will act as your proposer and Seconder. In the last Triennial General Assembly (30th Jan 2010)it has been decided that you need to pay $10.00 only and your membership would be for life. People can check as to who are members and who are not. Another thing which I would like to draw to the attention of SDNU is regarding the publicity which I think is lacking with regards to activities organised by SDNU. I thnk not many people know about the last meeting and also the trip to Pontianak last year. Please be more transparent and open to all Dayaks if you want all Dayaks to move forward in tandem with other races. I'm proud to be called a Dayak, need not matter that I'm half Iban and half Bidayuh. Take the good of both custom, culture, language, food and you name it, for the benefit of our ichit. Such is the diversity which you can only find in Sarawak. Whether we are Iban or Bidayuh or other minor ethnic group, we should be proud of our heritage.
